Our contact forms collect personal information that is submitted by our website users including name, email address, IP address, location, and any personal data that is provided by the user.  Contact form submissions may be retained by RealtyAuction.com in perpetuity.

User-Submitted Media

If you upload images or videos to RealtyAuction.com you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) in the image in order to protect your safety and privacy.  Website visitors can download and extract any location data contained in images submitted by other users.  If you do upload an image to RealtyAuction.com that includes personally identifying or location-based data embedded in the image, you agree to assume all physical, legal and financial liability for any outcome that may result from your negligence.

Reviews and Article Comments

If you leave a product review on our website you have the option of displaying your first name and last initial in your product review.  Customers have the additional option of submitting a review that will be displayed as a 'Verified Customer' instead of having a name associated with the review.

If you leave a comment on our site you opt-in to saving your name and email address in our website cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies generally last for one year but may last longer.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you submit information via a form on RealtyAuction.com, leave a comment, or write a review, the information, comment, or review and its meta-data are retained indefinitely.  This is so we have the option of recognizing and approving any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.  For users that register on our website or make a purchase, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments or reviews, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us if you are a citizen of the European Union (E.U.). E.U. citizens can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, tax, or security purposes.

Where We Send Your Data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.  Your data will be transmitted and stored outside of the European Union in the United State of America.  We currently use Amazon Web Services and Media Temple for backing up your personal data.  Our third-party backup providers Media Temple and Amazon Web Services are capable of safeguarding your personal data to comply with European Union data standards.

We receive personal data about our users from Facebook, Google, Yahoo, and other third-party data providers.
